Please pray for those in Texas who have been effected by Hurricane Ike. Galveston Texas and Houston Texas have been greatly effected. My best friend lives in Houston and I am so comforted to know that she, her husband, and their three children are all safe. There are several bloggers that are also in Texas who have been effected by Ike as well. I feel for those who at this point do not know if their loved ones are safe. But, despite being safe, they are without power and water, which is not easy. I am hoping that this post will encourage all of us to take a moment to pray for our fellow Americans who are suffering due to this hurricane. The power of prayer is amazing. Thank you.

It is so sad...my girlfriend lives in Houston and I haven't heard from her yet..but I'm pretty sure most of them are ok...Galveston really got hit hard. My daughter lives in Austin and she said it just barely rained there. They are all in my prayers.
