So, I bet you're asking yourself...What bedding did she choose? Well, you're going to have to wait and see...
So, I've been painting, cleaning, organizing, working, running back and forth to Home Depot, dealing with repair men for my phone, internet, and car and trying to get myself motivated for this room mom sponsored Halloween party on Friday (remember all the mama drama?) Thankfully this is the shortest party of the year (due to a school-wide Halloween Parade), so I'm just going to jump in with both feet and be the "fun" mom (I'm usually the wackiest one there anyways). Then it's trick or treating with my sister, niece and of course Mr. Big. Then we'll hurry home so we can hand out candy to trick or treaters and everyone is invited to my house for my annual open house. I make a huge pot of chili and a huge pot of sloppy joe and it's a come on by, help yourself to some food, and stay and visit a while situation. I've done it for a few years and it works out great. The bigger kids and their friends stop in to visit and head back out, friends and relatives come by to see the kids and to let me see theirs and I've got the food in crock-pots all warm and ready so it's completely stress free.
Then it's back to painting for me and moving back in to the bedroom. Then I have to get the room all decked out and take some photos. But, I have been informed that if the weather permits, we may be taking down a tree or two in the backyard this weekend (we've got a couple of dead / dying ones and they're getting dangerous). I will be doing my best to head out to the flea market this weekend to see what goodies I can find.
Tomorrow and Thursday I have to work all day long (yuck) and Friday is full of fests and frights, so it's a busy week here.
How about you? A busy week for you too?

Oh, I can not wait to see your bedroom reveal! The stipes sound YUMMY!!! ...and the bedding, can't wait to see what you have chosen! ~Rhonda :)
Oh, your room sounds so pretty, I can't wait to see it! Boy, we are so alike, I make sloppy joes and have friends and family over too! happy Halloween!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Your comment about "a price that didn't make you scream" made me laugh! I love stripes - my friend's downstairs is done in two shades of yellow/gold stripes & it's gorgeous. :)
Love your drop-in for Halloween. I usually host a pumpkin carving party, but this year I'm under the weather and don't feel up to it.
As for my paint colour in my dining area, the wall colour is Silver Sage from Restoration Hardware, and the trim is just a bright white trim paint, bought that way in the can.
Hope that helps!
Linda
I wasn't planning on being busy...then you threw a kink into my plans....because of you I had to schedule an extra nap...sheesh I'm tired just listening to your schedule...then I have to drive all the way to your house for the free food. Wow talk about a change of plans.
You sound extremely busy!
I can't wait to see photos of your freshly painted bedroom. I hate picking paint colors. I can never make up my mind!
Thanks for stopping by my blog today!
By the way...tell me about the pumpkin spice coffee...did you add the spice to your coffee as it was brewing or is it something else?
Morning Suzann! Sounds like a great idea! I'm gonna give you a heads up on stripes: Use a water color pencil in a color as close to the stripe as possible or go very very light with a regular pencil! I tried this once and the pencil line showed up through the paint! Don't know if you ever tried this before but that's my tip for the day!lol Can't wait to see result - will be gorgeous I'm sure. Good luck - Jeannette
Wow! The bedroom sounds great! Cannot wait to see!
Can't wait to see the bedroom! Sounds like it will be cute! And your week sounds so crazy! Good luck with all of that!
The bed room decorating sounds exciting. Oh it must have been nice to have someone else do the mudding job. I have learned how to do that messy job and it isn't very fun.
As for the rest of this week, costume making, trick or treating, party going, baby showering and the fun just goes on and on. I need a weekend for my weekend. LOL
You're going to make we wait for pictures??? AHHHHHHHHH.....
Looking forward to your bedroom reveal!
Hi Suzann, I can't wait to see the room! I have had a great week, but starting tomarrow it will be busy through Saturday. Don't you just love being busy? Nancy
I have good ideas for decorating. And I am great with color. But really. You don't want me to actually do the work. I am a horrid painter. I dribble. And spill. And walk in my messes. It's just best to hire out :-)
Good Luck with the painting. Your rooms sounds very pretty.
Your room sounds beautiful! I can't wait to see the results.
Why does it always have to be so busy before the FUN! My week is crazy too planning a huge Harvest Hoedown at my son's school but Friday night my sister's and I have a big sister's weekend planned. It is weird that it landed on Halloween weekend this year, but with my baby sister expecting twins it just happened that way.
I can't wait to see what you do....after that description....I know it will be wonderful! Looking forward to it!
Blessings,
Debbie

P.S. Happy Halloween!!
Thanks for the sweet birthday wishes!
I cannot believe you are making us wait for pictures! You are just so mean.
I love picking out new colors, but I'm with Kat, I hate doing the actual work of painting. Getting my hands all dirty, paint in my hair and on the floor...yuck.
Good luck!
I had to take five and tell you how thoughtful your sweet message to me was today. I'll be smiling all day because of it. Wish I could come to your Halloween Bash...sounds so warm and inviting. LOVE the photo you found for this post. : ) AND cannot wait to see this bedroom!!! Have a wonderful weekend. Mary Lou
Oh, I can't wait to see it! Sounds beautiful!
