With all the back to school hustle and bustle that's happening, we've been talking about lunches.
Lunches are an important part of back to school.
Heck, they're an important part of everyday.
I do one thing really well.
In fact, they are legendary.
I have had teenage boys come over just so they can get some.
I'll bet you're curious what they want.
Especially from an old gal like myself.
Well, it's Peanut Butter & Jelly Sandwiches.
Kinda silly, isn't it?
But everyone says it's my "thing".
Today I received a call from my daughter at cheer camp asking me to bring her some tomorrow when we go for the big show.
Considering I don't eat them, it's kinda cool that I make them so well.
Wanna know the secret?
Put peanut butter (a thin layer, but not too thin) on each piece of bread
This way, no gross leakage and saturation of bread from the jelly
Of course, you have to cover the entire piece of bread with peanut butter and the amounts need to be equal on each piece. And you have to make sure the jelly is spread across evenly and everywhere. You want to be sure that each bite has the exact same amount of peanut butter and jelly.
(yes, I suffer from OCD)
And don't forget to always pack a waste-free lunch
