Do you ever feel like a taxi driver?
Lately, I've been feeling like one more often than not.
This is tough for me, but I keep going.
Let's take one day for me this week.
7:30 Drop off Big at chess club before school
8:15 Drop off teen girl at school
8:35 Get to work
12:45 leave work and go to gym
1:00 - 2:15 Workout
2:30 pick up Mr. Big
2:45 pick up Teen Daughter at school
3:15 pick up #1 son from school
3:45 drop off #1 son at his place
4:10 drop off teen girl at driving school for make-up class
(not how to apply while driving, but re-do a class she missed)
5:00 Mr. Big has swimming lesson till 5:30
6:30 pick up teen girl from her class
and bring her to her tumbling lesson 20 minutes away...
Do you have days like this?
Lately more often than not my days resemble this schedule.
I guess it keeps me out of trouble, right?

Utterly exhausting, sounds like. Last fall was like that for me, when Elijah was in football, Isabel was in Girls on the Run, Gabe was in soccer, and I still had to work and drive them all everywhere (although Joe did help quite a bit).
Spring is shaping up to look like more of the same.
Makes for tired mommas, but really, aren't we blessed to have kids who WANT to be involved and vehicles we CAN drive and enough money to PAY for the gas and the activities?
Trying to look on the bright side.
Maybe if we installed a meter in the car and paid ourselves for all the driving, it would help :)
I can totally relate, but I am going to add the job description of the taxi dispatcher...because on the days that 2 kids have to be at the same place, I have to make sure that there is a taxi (aka carpool) there...ready and waiting. For me, it only gets worse in March & April...when the hockey clinics kick in even through the boys aren't done with their season yet and one son adds school track to the mix. Oh, well - like you said, it keeps me out of trouble. However, I have found that certain stitching or knitting project travel well and useful in taxi while waiting :)
Take care.
I think that's just the stage of life that we're in right now. run, run, run... But I know it's better for kids to be busy than to have to much time on their hands.
