Balance (Part One)

Balance is such an important word and yet I didn't quite consider it while making my plans for change in 2010.

January was a good month.  Better than many, but not as great as I had hoped.

While pondering this and trying to determine how to tweak things, I discovered that a key principle I am lacking is balance.

Without balance things start to fall apart.  Parts of my world have been falling apart.

After a while, being out of balance will take it's toll on a person.

So, that being said, the goal for the month of February is balance.

I have a lot going on in my world.

I need to make myself a priority.  I cannot lose sight of that.

So how does a person balance home, work, children, self, and still have some "free" time for spontaneous fun and other things that we love?

Carefully.  Very.  Carefully.

Where can time be cut so it can be gained in other areas?

Organization and planning is key.

How can I make exercise part of my daily life, something I never miss, a priority, and yet fun?

Organization and planning.

How can I make certain that I keep my home in a manner that is pleasing to my heart and yet not let it become overwhelming?

Organization and planning.

(can you see where I'm going with this?)

While I'm striving to keep all my plates spinning, I need to think and plan and organize.

Maybe you have come across this problem in your daily life?

Fitting just one more thing in will make everything explode?

Something has to give, but what?

Maybe nothing has to be given up, but things need to be set into priority and in an organized fashion planned to eliminate room for errors.

I've got some ideas that are going to give me just what I need and will be good on the pocket-book as well.

In the meantime, I'd love to hear your best ideas for keeping balance in your life.

During this month of February I'll be posting more on balance as this is a key element in my main 2010 goal of change.  I hope you will enjoy this journey with me.

I think balance is the hardest thing to struggle with! And I am not organized!
