Simplicity...

Christmas Tree 2010

Ah the holidays.
I've never been overly excited about them.
They always seemed too stressful to me.

Sad really.
Even as a child they felt stressful.

The past couple of Christmases I have been rather grumpy.

This year I have been attempting not to be.

We have gone really simple this year.  Barely any boxes were opened.

I was very picky about what would be set out this year.

I only put up one tree.

The small tree.  My rustic tree that makes my heart happy.

Simple.

Stress-free.

With a smile on my face.

Sometimes in our lives we need that simplicity...it suits our mood. I once read that a cluttered house is a sign of a cluttered mind. Who wants that?

Wishing you a wonderful Sunday!

XO,
Jane

Simplicity is the key to smiles. Take out the clutter and remove the stress, make it as simply as possible! That is the best way to enjoy life!
Take care and enjoy!

Yay for you!

I ONLY put up one tree, which is planned for today.

I have handmade a lot of gifts this year, refuse to put anything on a credit card, and am sticking to my guns on the "three gift per kid" rule.

Trying to focus on the "reason for the season", as trite as that saying has become. I'm proud of you for trying to overcome your Christmas past!
