So, if you've been reading my blog for a while you know that I'm completely gutting and rehabbing the house that we moved into about 4 years ago.
We had gutted our master bedroom a while ago, but we've been having some troubles finding bedding that we both love and that fits the feeling that we're going for in our house.
Over this past weekend we, quite by accident, stumbled upon this bedding and fell in love.
Yup, it's a miracle, we both AGREED on the bedding and so we brought it home.
After living with it for a couple of days, we know that it's perfect for us.
Cheery, Simple, Farmhouse-ish, and Cottagey.
Plus, we've discovered that we love love love green and as you can see, green is definitely present.
So, I've been shopping our house to find items that are yellow or green or just "fit" what we're going trying to achieve in the master bedroom.
We love our tongue in groove ceiling and our ceiling fan with it's copper and rubbed oil bronze.
I found a yellow chippy pail that I purchased years ago that looks awesome with the new bedding.
Now comes the hard part.
The walls.
We need stuff on the walls.
We need a headboard.
Can you help?
Suggestions or ideas are needed and quick.
These empty spaces are all that remains to complete this space.
I'm so looking forward to hearing what you think.

I have a girlfriend that used a part of a picket fence for a headboard, and it looked so cute. Not sure if that's the look you're going for or not, but it's an idea.
Same girl used an old rustic window frame, put a mantel beneath it, some candles and photos on the mantel, and it was a gorgeous centerpiece on her wall.
Maybe I should just send Jen your way; she has a talent for decorating on a budget!
Hi Suzann! I love the new bed linens, they're gorgeous. Check out funkyjunkinteriors.blogspot.com - She has a Saturday Night special linky party, and the two previous were "old doors" and "gates". In fact her own headboard is an old chippy white door with a small iron gate above it. Looks cottagy. There's also getting plywood cut the width of the bed. Get batting & fabric to match your bedspread (sheets will work & if they're too sheer add a layer of cheap muslin, cover the plywood & go crazy with a staple gun, first the batting, smoothing as you go, then the fabric goes over the batting - instant headboard. what about a simple rod iron bed frame, that speaks farmhouse, fresh and simple!! perhaps a vintage one, if your bed is not bigger then a king!! love the new bedding!
Hi again, another idea is to build a simple frame, nail some beadboard to it, add molding if desired. Paint it green, then white & sand til you get a distressed timeworn look if you like. Dianne
I love yellow, too. And the idea of the picket fence for the headboard is great!! I'm the type who has to build a decor gradually. Look at the linens for a while, then you'll 'spot' things when you're out and about that call to go in the room with them...
