Summer Reading

This is the first official week of summer break and my reading is off to a great start.

Today I finished reading The Last Child by John Hart.

I came across this book while at Costco a couple of months back.

I'm so thankful that I chose to bring it home with me.

This book centers around a young boy named Johnny.  Johnny's twin sister disappeared a year before and is now presumed dead.  Johnny's father has left and his mother is an absolute wreck.  Life is nothing like what it was before Johnny's sister disappeared.

This story is about how this one boy with determination and love sets out on a quest to find his sister and bring her home.

From the start this book grabbed my attention and never let go.  I became attached to the characters and was surprised many times by the twists in the story line.

This author screams brilliance in his storytelling ability and I highly recommend this book.

I think this book would make an amazing movie!!

I was thinking the whole time what a great movie this would make!

This book was so disturbing at times, but only because he made it all so REAL.

Just finished "The Help"; have you read it yet?
