The Celebration Dinner

We went to Benihana for dinner.

Almost my whole family went.

Yup, I'm the blonde.

This is my nephew Nyco and my sister Nicole.

My parents and my oldest son Vic.

My daughter Caitlyn and my son Thomas.

Thomas was quite taken with the chef AND the food.

So was my nephew Nyco.

Our chicken fried rice in the shape of a heart.  Our chef made the heart beat.

Because there were 10 of us, we had our own table.

It's a tradition in my little family that started about 5 years ago that each birthday person gets to choose the restaurant where we will go to dinner.  Usually it's just the five of us, but tonight my parents, my sister, and her son Nyco joined us.  

The food was fantastic, the atmosphere was wonderful, and I had the best time.

I got some very funny cards from a girlfriend, hubby got me two very special cards AND a Kindle (the new model which he is ordering tomorrow), my daughter gave me a funny card and $50 to Pottery Barn, my little guy gave me a great card and 2 starbuck's coffee mugs, some other friends mailed cards, and my parents and eldest son also gave me some wonderful cards.  With all the lovely sentiments via comments, e-mail, and facebook I have had the very best birthday ever!  Thanks to everyone who wished me a great day.  It was perfectly glorious, despite the insane rain storms throughout the day.
