I can't believe it's already Wednesday! If you live in my world then you know that Murphy's Law is pretty much the way everything rolls.
So, the kids are back in school. The quiet in the house is deafening, but today we had no tears. Yesterday was quite a different story, but we survived.
Other random mishaps?
I discovered my new (used) car has a locking gas cap and I don't have the key.
My monthly bill surprised me and is kicking butt and taking names.
The bank screw up that has been dragging me through the mud for the past week finally ended yesterday at 2:58 p.m. (yes I looked at the clock).
I have zero energy.
I have made a small dent in the stack of papers I need to handle, but despite having spent 6 hours on the telephone over the past 2 days, only 3 of those tasks are completed. One of those will require follow-up in 10 business days.
I'm overbooked, overscheduled, exhausted, and still struggling to get organized.
Football games begin on Friday and we get to travel about 45 minutes (one way) to watch our daughter cheer and sit on an uncomfortable bleacher (stand) for many hours.
I am finally seeing progress on the antique dresser I am refinishing.
I took pictures of the first day of school, but my camera died and has taken the photos hostage.
I'm having a cup of coffee (that I will most likely regret later) so that I can stay awake through homework, dinner, and a tiny pick me up trip to Pottery Barn.
I hope to have retrieved the back to school photos so I can share them with you tomorrow along with some other fun decorating "things" that are being tossed around over here.
Off to pick up #3 son and then to pick up #2 daughter and then we're off.
Have a safe and wonderful evening!
